Augsburg’s art scene shines this month as the Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus hosts the charity exhibition and auction “Kunst für die Kunst” (“Art for Art’s Sake”) from November 7 to 21, 2025.
The event aims to raise funds for the Kunstsammlungen & Museen Augsburg, supporting new art projects and educational initiatives.
More than 150 artworks are on display, representing painting, sculpture, and installation art by both established and emerging artists from Bavaria and beyond.
Curator Dr. Silvia Weber describes the project as “an example of how art can serve society – by creating community through creativity.”
Visitors are invited to view the exhibition, participate in discussions, and bid on selected works, with all proceeds going to support public art programs in Augsburg.
In addition to the auction, the event includes lectures, artist talks, and painting workshops, creating a space for dialogue between creators and the public.
“Kunst für die Kunst” has become an important annual tradition in Augsburg’s cultural calendar, symbolizing unity and commitment to art’s social value.
