The program is aimed at professionals and graduates from cultural and creative fields – visual arts, music/sound, performing arts, film/media, literature/journalism, design/architecture – and is focused on professional development and understanding the structure of the cultural and creative sector in Germany and Europe.

– Structure of the art scene: institutional and independent contexts
– Atelier/studio programs of BBK Berlin and other professional associations: consultations and support with applications
– Professional unions and copyright organizations: BBK, IGBK, VG Bild-Kunst, GVL, GEMA, Deutscher Künstlerbund, and others
– Funding for artistic projects: grants, residencies, exhibition programs, scholarships, private foundations
– Basics of self-employment: registration, taxation, accounting, the KSK system (social insurance — up to 50% savings on contributions), social and health insurance
– Working with contracts, fees, budgeting and financial reporting (practical templates and samples)
– Copyright, licensing and intellectual property protection
– Opportunities for professional employment: project work, part-time employment, independent practice. Building a stable income rather than one-off projects

The program is implemented as part of state-supported professional development.
Free for participants who have a voucher for professional training (e.g., Bildungsgutschein / AVGS).
For participants without a voucher, the fee is available upon request.
