Vodafone boosts internet in Kassel region
Vodafone has completed a major upgrade of telecommunications infrastructure in the Kassel district. As part of the project, two network expansion initiatives were implemented to improve the stability and speed of fixed internet connections.
New fiber-optic cables were installed across several areas, along with additional network nodes. This allowed the network to be divided into smaller segments, increasing overall performance and reliability.
The work was carried out within a short timeframe and, in most cases, without significant impact on residents or road traffic. As a result, more than 1,500 households now benefit from a significantly more powerful fixed broadband connection.
The improvements are especially noticeable during peak usage times. Users now have sufficient capacity for data-intensive applications such as video conferencing, music streaming, and video streaming.
Data demand in the region continues to grow rapidly. According to Vodafone, data traffic increases by around 12 percent annually, making ongoing infrastructure expansion essential.
