Every Wednesday, a group of wealthy snobs hosts an unusual dinner. The rule is simple: each guest must bring an “idiot”. The one whose guest is the most ridiculous wins a prize. Publisher Pierre Brochant is confident in his victory, as he has found an astonishing idiot — François Pignon. Pierre anticipates an evening full of mockery, but has no idea that within a few hours this Pignon will completely ruin his life.
