The concert “Thank You for Being Alive!”, dedicated to the legacy of Vladimir Vysotsky, has been held at the Russian House in this format for the fourth consecutive year and has become a well-established cultural tradition. The program explores the musical and poetic heritage of the poet, actor, and singer-songwriter whose work continues to resonate with audiences across generations.
Vlad Mayer — poet, songwriter, performer, and theater and film actor — presents a carefully curated concert program. Accompanied by a Russian seven-string guitar, the audience will hear both well-known classics and rarely performed songs that have not previously been included in this concert format.
The evening unfolds as a cohesive musical and poetic narrative, revealing the lyrical, philosophical, dramatic, and satirical dimensions of Vysotsky’s legacy.
